Grifflyn Electric installs structural bolts at the service mast attachment point and uses white paintable cover plates to conceal any holes. Some drywall repair may also be required at the old or new panel location. We do our best to minimize any damage.

Do you provide a panel schedule after a service upgrade?

Yes. Grifflyn Electric does a thorough walk-through of all circuits in your home and installs a professional printed panel schedule documenting your entire home's electrical circuits.

Where will my new meter and electrical panel be located?

BC Hydro and the Canadian Electrical Code provide guidelines for panel placement. For most basic installations, the meter is located a maximum of 1 meter from the corner of the building closest to the BC Hydro power pole, with the electrical panel on the opposing interior wall.

Do you provide all new breakers with the new panel?

Yes. All products supplied by Grifflyn Electric are purchased new and CSA approved.

Service Upgrade Steps

This additional work can include running new branch circuit wiring to the old panel location and installing a large junction boxes or installing surface 2″ conduit on the houses exterior to reach from meterbase to existing panel location.
